After weeks of teasers, the flagship-beating OnePlus 15R is official

OnePlus has expanded its product lineup in the UK with the launch of three new devices: the OnePlus 15R, OnePlus Pad Go 2, and OnePlus Watch Lite.

Headlining the trio is the OnePlus 15R, which the company positions as its ultimate value flagship, offering top-tier performance, long battery life, and a high-refresh-rate display at a more accessible price point.

Compared to the standard OnePlus 15, the OnePlus 15R delivers the same top-end screen, massive battery and capable main camera sensor at a lower price, and it’s available to pre-order now.

OnePlus 15R brings flagship performance, battery life, and display tech

The OnePlus 15R is the first smartphone globally to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, co-developed by Qualcomm and OnePlus over 24 months.

According to OnePlus, the new platform delivers 36% faster CPU performance, 11% faster GPU performance, and 46% improved AI capabilities compared to the previous generation. That’s paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage to deliver consistently fast performance for multitasking and data-heavy workloads.

Battery life is another major focus, with a 7,400mAh battery (the largest in any OnePlus phone yet) supported by 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. OnePlus says the battery is designed to retain at least 80% capacity after four years, thanks in part to Silicon Nanostack technology used in the anode.

On the front, the OnePlus 15R features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 1,800 nits of brightness, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. A dedicated touch response chip also enables an instant 3,200Hz touch sampling rate, aimed at smoother scrolling and gaming.

Camera hardware includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP autofocus selfie camera, with support for 4K video recording at up to 120fps.

The 15R is available in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze and, despite the flagship-level tech, it starts at £649. Pre-orders are open now, and sales begin on 15 January 2026.

Alongside the 15R, OnePlus also introduced the Pad Go 2, a mid-range tablet with a 12.1-inch display and large battery, and the Watch Lite, a lightweight smartwatch focused on core wellness and fitness features at a lower price point.
