LG is now competing with Samsung’s The Frame with a new Gallery TV and Gallery+ art service.
The Gallery TV was unveiled ahead of CES 2026 as a lifestyle screen that doubles as a curated canvas. The set pairs a specialised anti‑glare panel and Gallery Mode tuned with museum input to reproduce texture and tone in artworks.
The set ships in 55‑ and 65‑inch sizes and uses MiniLED backlighting plus the α7 AI Processor for 4K picture and AI Sound Pro audio.
LG bundles the Gallery TV with Gallery+, a subscription service offering more than 4,500 works that are refreshed monthly to keep things fresh.
Users can generate images with AI, display personal photos, and add background music from built‑in tracks or Bluetooth streaming.
The TV will accept magnetic frames for a gallery look, and internal memory stores favourites for quick access. These features mirror Samsung’s The Frame approach while leaning on LG’s MiniLED picture engine rather than OLED.

These lifestyle TVS are becoming far more popular, offering an alternative to the designs of the more traditional TV sets. Samsung has released multiple versions of its Frame TV, including the Frame Pro, although we haven’t always been completely won over. We awarded the Frame Pro 3/5 in our review, saying, “The Frame Pro is a logical progression of Samsung’s Frame series, but the performance doesn’t merit the high asking price.”
We had similar issues with Hisense’s recent Canvas model, which we once again felt sacrificed picture quality for looks. Whether or not LG will have taken note remains to be seen, although hopefully we’ll learn more when we get to spend some time with the new Gallery range.
