LG’s latest Xboom speakers use AI to turn them the ultimate karaoke companions

LG has expanded the xboom range for CES 2026 by adding a bunch of new speakers with some genuinely clever AI additions.

The range adds AI features that personalise playback and lighting, plus swappable batteries and rugged builds for outdoor use.

The Stage 501 looks to be the standout release, and it could be your new best friend at parties and karaoke nights.

While lots of iterations of AI offer very little, here its addition could actually make sense. It uses an AI Karaoke Master trained on over 10,000 songs to remove or adjust vocals and change pitch. This means you should be able to pick, according to LG, “virtually any song” and remove the lyrics, letting you start a karaoke party very easily.

The speaker delivers up to 220W when plugged in and 160W on battery. It runs for up to 25 hours on a 99Wh swappable pack.

On the other hand, the xboom Blast focuses on outdoor endurance. It claims up to 35 hours from a 99Wh battery, 220W output and three passive radiators. LG emphasises military‑standard durability and practical touches such as a side rope handle for easier carrying.

For those who need it for daily use, the xboom Mini will be the star. It offers about 10 hours of playback, IP67 protection, a cube form factor and a Magic Strap for placement. LG says Sound Field Enhance keeps audio clear in open spaces.

Lastly, the xboom Rock targets rugged adventurers. It meets seven military standards, supports LE Audio Auracast for multi‑speaker sharing, and increases power to 6W over its predecessor.
