LG’s Wallpaper TV is back and it’s unbelievably thin

LG has brought back one of its most striking TV designs, and it’s slimmer than ever.

Revealed at CES 2026, the LG OLED evo W6 marks the return of the Wallpaper TV, pairing its ultra-minimal aesthetic with true wireless connectivity and a massive leap in picture performance.

At just 9mm thick, the W6 is designed to sit completely flush against the wall, reviving the Wallpaper concept LG first introduced in 2017.

This time around, the TV’s extreme thinness is made possible by a full internal redesign, with all physical connections moved to LG’s Zero Connect Box, which can be placed up to 10 metres away. The result is a TV that genuinely looks like part of the wall rather than something mounted onto it.

Despite its delicate profile, LG says the W6 doesn’t compromise on performance. It’s the first Wallpaper TV to feature the company’s new Hyper Radiant Colour Technology, which boosts brightness, colour accuracy and contrast while reducing reflections.

LG claims peak brightness levels up to 3.9 times higher than conventional OLEDs, alongside industry-first Reflection Free Premium certification, making it better suited to brighter rooms than previous OLED generations.

Powering those visuals is the new α11 AI Processor Gen3, which introduces a Dual AI Engine designed to reduce noise without sacrificing natural detail. Rather than aggressively sharpening the image, LG says the processor balances clarity and texture more carefully, a response to common criticisms of AI-heavy image processing.

The Wallpaper TV also inherits LG’s latest smart and gaming features. It supports 4K at up to 165Hz, alongside NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, making it one of LG’s most capable gaming displays yet. Meanwhile, the updated webOS platform leans heavily into personalisation, with voice recognition automatically switching profiles and AI-powered assistants from Google and Microsoft baked in.

LG is clearly positioning the W6 as both a design statement and a technical showcase, less about chasing mass appeal, and more about showing what’s possible when form factor takes priority. Pricing and regional availability haven’t been confirmed yet, but as with previous Wallpaper models, expect it to sit firmly at the premium end of LG’s OLED lineup.

Thin TVs aren’t new, but few disappear into a room quite like this one.
