Honor has officially launched the Magic 8 Pro in the UK, a flagship smartphone that leans heavily on AI-powered photography and long battery life.
The Magic 8 Pro is headlined by a new AI-focused camera system that Honor says is designed to push smartphone photography further in low-light and telephoto scenarios.
The camera setup includes a 200MP Ultra Night telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/2.6 aperture, optical image stabilisation and 3.7x optical zoom and is specifically designed to improve light capture and detail at longer distances.
That telephoto camera is joined by a 50MP Ultra Night main camera with an f/1.6 aperture and OIS, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view and macro support.
Honor says the Magic 8 Pro achieves significantly improved stability through its AI Adaptive Stabilisation Model, delivering higher success rates for zoomed shots without the need for a tripod or gimbal.
The phone also introduces Magic Colour, an AI-powered colour engine designed to extract and process up to 16.77 million colours using deep learning, allowing users to apply cinematic colour styles, film tones, or personalised looks directly in the camera.
The AI Photos Agent also adds one-tap and voice-based editing tools such as AI Eraser, AI Outpainting, AI Colour and AI Cutout, simplifying common photo adjustments.
A new dedicated AI Button provides quick access to the camera and Honor’s AI features, including instant camera launch from the lock screen and shortcuts to AI tools.
Outside photography, the Magic 8 Pro blends on-device Honor AI with cloud-based Google Gemini features, allowing for contextual assistance, screen-based suggestions and cross-app actions.
Running MagicOS 10, the phone introduces a translucent interface design, no doubt inspired by Apple’s iOS 26 and expands cross-platform features such as Honor Share, enabling file transfers between Android, iOS, macOS and Windows devices.
Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, paired with a 6,270mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
The 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display supports a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, with peak HDR brightness up to 6,000 nits, alongside multiple eye-comfort technologies designed to reduce flicker and eye strain.
The HONOR Magic 8 Pro is available now in the UK, and is priced at £1,099.99.
