Acer’s new gaming monitor can hit an eye-watering 1000Hz

Acer has gone all-in on extreme refresh rates at CES 2026, doubling down on displays designed for high-level competitive gaming.

The headline CES 2026 reveal is undoubtedly the Predator XB273U F6, a new 27-inch monitor capable of reaching 1000Hz in its performance-focused mode.

The 27-inch monitor achieves that figure using Acer’s Dynamic Frequency and Resolution mode, which drops the resolution to 1280 x 720 to prioritise motion clarity, while its native 2560 x 1440 IPS panel runs at up to 500Hz for higher-resolution play.

Acer is clearly targeting esports players, with AMD FreeSync Premium support and a response time designed to minimise blur and ghosting in fast-paced titles where reaction speed matters most.

The Predator XB273U F6 is joined by the Predator X34 F3, a 34-inch curved QD-OLED display that focuses less on extreme refresh rates and more on visual impact, offering a 360Hz refresh rate alongside deep blacks and high contrast typical of OLED panels.

That model combines a 3440 x 1440 resolution with wide colour coverage and a curved ultrawide format aimed at immersive gaming and cinematic experiences.

Acer is also blurring the line between gaming and creative work with the Nitro XV270X P, a 27-inch display that pairs a sharp 5K resolution with refresh rates of up to 330Hz in its performance-focused mode.

From competitive gaming to creative work

The 1000Hz F6 monitor is positioned as a hybrid option for users who want high refresh rates for competitive play but also need detailed resolution and colour accuracy for editing and creative tasks.

For professional creators, Acer unveiled the ProDesigner PE320QX, a 31.5-inch 6K display designed for studio work, with broad colour gamut support and connectivity across HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C.

Rounding out the lineup is the Vero HL1820, an RGB laser-powered 4K projector aimed at both gaming and home cinema, with a focus on long lifespan, colour accuracy and lower environmental impact.

Pricing and availability vary by region, with the Predator XB273U F6 set to arrive first in mid-2026, followed by the rest of Acer’s new monitors and projector rolling out across the second half of the year.
