Campfire Audio marks 10 years with Green Andromeda 10 earphones

To celebrate a decade in high-end audio, Campfire Audio has added a Classic Green standard edition to its Andromeda 10 range, making its anniversary flagship more widely available.

The Andromeda 10 was first introduced last year as a pair of limited Black and Gold editions, and the new Classic Green version brings the same core tuning and driver design into the permanent range, making the anniversary model more widely available to audiophiles.

A decade of Andromeda refined into a flagship design

Launched to mark a decade of product development and community feedback, the Andromeda 10 builds on the legacy of the original Andromeda by doubling its driver count from five to ten custom balanced armature drivers.

The multi-driver layout uses four low-frequency, four mid-range, and two high-frequency drivers, paired with Campfire Audio’s latest acoustic technologies to improve openness, resolution, and spatial presentation.

A new Non-Enclosed Midrange Chamber, or NEMC, is designed to deliver greater articulation and a more natural midrange, while Campfire’s proprietary Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber, known as TAEC, focuses on extending high-frequency performance with lower distortion.

According to the company, the result is a refined sound signature that preserves the clarity and balance associated with Andromeda, while offering improved dynamics and detail across the frequency range.

Classic Green design and flagship features

The Standard Edition features an anodised aluminium housing finished in Campfire Audio’s signature Andromeda green, offering a lighter alternative to the stainless-steel construction used on the limited Black and Gold models.

Despite the material change, Campfire Audio says the internal architecture and acoustic performance remain identical to the limited editions, ensuring the same flagship listening experience.

The Andromeda 10 also introduces a 2-pin connector for the first time on a Campfire IEM, paired with the company’s Time Stream modular cable that supports 3.5mm, 4.4mm balanced, and USB-C DAC terminations.

Other specifications include a frequency response of 5Hz to 20kHz, sensitivity rated at 94dB, and an impedance of 8.5 ohms, positioning the Andromeda 10 as a high-end option designed for dedicated portable audio setups.

Pricing for the Andromeda 10 Classic Green is set at £1,699 or $1,799, with availability through selected retailers, including Amazon, while the limited Black and Gold editions remain available in restricted quantities at higher prices.
