Fujifilm is giving its Instax lineup a modern twist with the Instax Mini Evo Cinema, a new hybrid instant camera that doesn’t just take photos — it also captures 15-second video clips.
The mini Evo Cinema is a 3-in-1 device that combines still photography, short-form video recording, and instant prints through Fujifilm’s free Instax Mini Evo smartphone app. Users can shoot photos or videos on the camera, then choose what to print on Instax Mini film, or download content directly to their phone for sharing on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
That blend of digital and physical is the big draw here. Fujifilm says the mini Evo Cinema is designed to make highly personalised content, with creative controls that let users experiment before committing to a print. The app acts as the bridge, letting you transfer images and clips, tweak your favourites, and print straight from your phone if you prefer.
Short video support is the standout addition, and it’s a clear nod to how people create today. While the clips won’t replace your smartphone camera, they add a playful layer to the Instax experience, especially for users who like mixing instant photos with social-first content.
Alongside the camera, Fujifilm has also announced the Instax mini Link+, a refreshed smartphone printer that focuses on creative control rather than capture. Available on the same date for £129.99, it adds new and enhanced print modes within the Instax Mini Link app, aimed at helping users match prints to their aesthetic or mood. A matching case will be sold separately for £21.99.
The mini Evo Cinema launching on 28 January 2026 for £329.99 will also get its own optional case, priced at £34.99, rounding out a launch that’s clearly about turning Instax into more than just an instant camera.
The Instax Mini Evo Cinema sits firmly at the premium end of Fujifilm’s instant lineup. But by adding video, app-based control, and flexible printing, it feels purpose-built for a generation that wants both shareable clips and physical keepsakes, without having to choose between the two.
