So I’ve had my Keychron K2 HE on my desk for some time now and have really liked using it as my daily driver. However, one thing I’ve never really been keen on are the keycaps, and that’s because they’re not shine through and with my eyesight, I sometimes find them very hard to read. Which is why I shopped around for some new ones, and found some really nice keycaps on Etsy, which only cost me £40.
They’re called the Womier keycap set. I have no idea where they’re from or if they’ve been specially made, but I doubt it. They came from a shop on Etsy whicch I’ll link in the description, and the keycaps are Black PBT Shine-Through and they have a decent typeface on them as well as a border around the outside to really make each key pop.
Swapping them over was simple, and the new set came with a fairly nice keycap puller which was a touch. and install took no time at all. The only thing I would have liked is a pound sign for my numbers above the three key rather than a hashtag but I feel like I’m splitting hairs here. There are 142 keys in total, and my keyboard, with the odd sizes for the Shift keys and function keys were covered, which was fantastic to see.
And all in all these were a fantastic purchase, and they look really great too. I am a little disappointed by the border shine through not being as prominent around the whole key, but that’s due to my north facing RGB lights which there’s not really much I can do about at this point. I may as well buy an entirely new keyboard. But yes. great purchase, and I’m very happy with the result.
