You’ll soon be able to play way more Steam games on your Mac

GameSir has announced that its GameHub app will launch on macOS soon, bringing its PC emulation technology to Apple computers and potentially expanding access to Windows and Steam titles that typically require dedicated PC hardware.

The company confirmed the macOS version through a post on X, stating that GameHub will allow users to run Windows games and Steam libraries directly on Mac devices without relying on cloud streaming services.

An image shared in the same X post announcement shows controls for AI image upscaling, graphics performance, colour modes, and VSync and confirms that GameHub for Mac will include detailed performance settings instead of a basic launcher interface.

GameHub currently operates on Android as a PC emulator that lets users link their Steam accounts and access supported titles locally, positioning the Mac release as an extension of that existing cross-platform approach.

If the macOS version functions similarly to the Android release, it would provide an alternative to established compatibility tools such as Wine-based wrappers or subscription cloud gaming platforms that stream titles from remote servers.

Apple’s transition to its own silicon has complicated traditional Windows gaming support on Mac, since Boot Camp is no longer available on Apple Silicon models, increasing demand for emulation and translation-based solutions.

By enabling native execution of Windows games through emulation, GameHub could lower the barrier for Mac users who want access to a broader PC catalogue without purchasing separate gaming hardware.

The company has not detailed hardware requirements, compatibility limits, or performance expectations for the macOS release, leaving open questions about how demanding titles will perform on different Apple Silicon configurations.

GameSir already offers a GameHub app on iOS, but that version functions only as a calibration tool for GameSir controllers and does not include PC emulation features.

GameSir has not announced a specific launch date for the macOS release, stating only that GameHub for Mac is “coming soon,” with additional information on pricing and system support expected closer to rollout.
