Apple has confirmed it will hold a special event on 4 March 2026 at 9am ET, inviting members of the press to what it’s calling a “special Apple Experience.”
The company hasn’t shared details on what will be announced, but rumours suggest a busy lineup that could include the iPhone 17e and several new Mac models.
Unlike Apple’s larger keynote-style launches, this appears to be a more focused press event, with gatherings reportedly taking place in New York, London and Shanghai. That suggests hardware announcements rather than a purely software update.
According to recent reports, Apple is preparing a broad refresh across its Mac range. A new low-cost MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chip is expected, alongside updated MacBook Air models with the M5 chip. Higher-end users could see refreshed MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max, as well as new external Mac displays.
On the iPhone side, the spotlight is likely to fall on the iPhone 17e, Apple’s more affordable addition to the iPhone 17 lineup. Details remain limited, but it’s expected to follow the same formula as previous “e” models — offering modern performance at a lower entry price.
There are also reports of new iPads in development, including an A18-powered base iPad and an updated iPad Air, though it’s unclear whether all of these will make an appearance at the March event.
Software could also play a role. Apple is widely expected to release the first beta of iOS 26.4 around the same time, potentially introducing expanded Siri features powered by Google Gemini integration.
As always with Apple, the invitation itself reveals little beyond the date. But with multiple Mac upgrades and a new iPhone model in the pipeline, March 4 could shape up to be one of the company’s more significant early-year launches.
