Motorola has confirmed it will showcase the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion at MWC 2026. However, the surprise may already be out of the bag.
Ahead of the March 2 event in Barcelona, the company has quietly published a series of teasers on Flipkart. These teasers reveal key specs of its upcoming mid-range phone.
India will see the device first, with a February 28 reveal planned just days before MWC officially kicks off. And from what’s been shared so far, the Edge 70 Fusion looks like it’s leaning heavily into display and battery upgrades. This comes rather than headline-grabbing flagship features.
One of the biggest talking points is the camera. Motorola says the phone will be among the first to feature Sony’s new LYT-710 50MP sensor, complete with OIS. While full technical details on the sensor haven’t been disclosed yet, the company is promising improved low-light performance. Additionally, they claim brighter video highlights. A 32MP front-facing camera is also confirmed, alongside two additional rear lenses.

The display appears equally ambitious for a mid-ranger. The Edge 70 Fusion will sport a quad-curved 1.5K panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness rating of 5,200 nits. Motorola is also claiming a 96.2% screen-to-body ratio. This suggests minimal bezels and a more immersive design.
Battery life could be the real headline feature. The phone packs a sizeable 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 68W fast charging, all within a chassis that’s reportedly just 7.99mm thick. That combination of capacity and slimness could set it apart in a crowded mid-range market.
Previous confirmations also point to a fabric-textured rear finish and multiple Pantone colour options. Furthermore, recent leaks suggest the phone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. That would position it directly against devices like the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus in several regions.
Motorola hasn’t shared pricing yet, and more details are expected before the February unveiling. But based on the early teasers, the Edge 70 Fusion may be less about radical innovation. Instead, it is more about delivering a well-balanced, high-spec mid-range package — just in time for MWC.
