Every product Apple has revealed this week, from a new iPhone to the cheapest MacBook

Apple has had a busy week. Across three days of announcements, the company quietly unveiled not one, but seven new products, including iPhones, iPads, Macs and even a brand-new budget laptop.

The headline reveal is the iPhone 17e, priced at $599. It replaces the iPhone 16e with double the storage, improved performance and support for MagSafe charging. Apple also added a new “soft pink” to add a splash of colour to the existing black and white finishes.

Alongside the phone, Apple has refreshed its mid-range tablet with the 11 and 13-inch M4 iPad Air. The update brings faster performance over the previous M3 version by bumping the RAM to 12GB, giving the tablet a bit more headroom for multitasking.

And then came the Macs. The current MacBook Air line has been updated with the M5 MacBook Air, which is available again in 13 and 15-inch sizes. The new models double both the base and maximum storage capacities, while coming with faster SSD speeds and upgrade connectivity with newer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth standards.

The MacBook Pro also received a chip refresh, moving to M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. Base storage now starts at 1TB instead of 512GB. SSD speeds are reportedly twice as fast, and the entry model supports up to 64GB of RAM. Higher configurations reach 128GB.

Apple also quietly retired the Pro Display XDR and replaced it with two new monitors: an updated Studio Display and a new Studio Display XDR.

The most interesting announcement arrived yesterday, though, with the MacBook Neo, Apple’s new entry-level laptop. Although rumoured for a long-time, the Neo has made a splash with it starting price tag of £599/$599, making it the company’s most affordable Mac yet. It runs on the A18 Pro chip, the same processor used in the iPhone 16 Pro.

The base configuration includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while an extra £100/$100 doubles the storage to 512GB and adds Touch ID. Unlike other Macs, there are no RAM upgrade options.

Taken together, it’s one of Apple’s busiest product weeks in recent memory, with updates touching nearly every part of its hardware lineup.
