Epson’s Lifestudio Flex Special Lux Edition EF-73 is its latest lifestyle projector designed to blend home entertainment with modern interior design.
Building on the earlier EF-72 model, the EF-73 introduces a premium finish with the Night Black Special Lux Edition using a mix of tempered glass, suede accents and anodised gold detailing to create a projector that’s meant to sit comfortably in living rooms and shared spaces.
Instead of hiding on a shelf, the aim, Epson says, is to make technology feel “invisible” — present when needed but subtle enough to fit into everyday life.
Despite its compact size, the EF-73 is designed to deliver a big-screen experience. It supports 4K PRO-UHD projection and can scale from 30-inches up to 150. This makes it suitable for everything from movie nights to casual gaming sessions.
The projector also features Sound by Bose with Google TV smarts built in. As a result, users get direct access to apps like Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+.
Setup is designed to be quick and largely automatic. Epson’s Intelligent Instant Setup system handles autofocus, keystone correction and screen alignment automatically. This helps users get a watchable image within seconds. The adjustable stand also allows tilt and swivel positioning, therefore making it is easier to project onto different walls or surfaces.
Alongside the projector, Epson is preparing to launch a new Projection Studio mobile app, arriving in May 2026. The app will allow users to control the projector from their phone and create shared viewing experiences. In addition, users can enjoy features like comments, emojis and photo sharing during gatherings or watch parties.
The EF-73 also includes a few lifestyle-focused touches, such as integrated ambient LED lighting and a wireless phone charger built into the unit. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Meanwhile, gamers can take advantage of ALLM support with input lag below 20ms.
Epson says the projector has been designed with everyday use in mind, featuring quiet operation, a 20,000-hour light source, and eco-friendly packaging. It also comes with a five-year warranty.
The Lifestudio Flex Special Lux Edition EF-73 is expected to launch in April 2026. The Projection Studio app will follow in May 2026 for compatible Epson Lifestudio projectors.
