According to a recent leak, Apple could be testing a new quad-curved iPhone screen that would significantly alter the handset’s design.
The claim comes from well-known Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station, who states that that Apple is experimenting with a display that curves on all four edges of the phone, creating a design that wraps around the corners rather than stopping at a flat frame.
If true, then the iPhone would move closer to being a true all-screen appearance, as the curved edges would reduce the visible borders around the display and make the front panel appear more continuous.
The idea is also tied to Apple’s long-rumoured plans for a special iPhone model marking the device’s 20th anniversary, though the company’s fully cutout-free all-screen design may not arrive in time for that milestone.
Earlier details about the anniversary device pointed to Apple targeting a completely cutout-free display, with both the front camera and Face ID components positioned beneath the screen instead of inside the current Dynamic Island.
Moving those components under the display remains one of the biggest technical challenges in achieving a truly uninterrupted screen, so for the time being we expect that the visible cutouts will remain.
Even so, a quad-curved panel could still introduce a noticeably different design by wrapping the display around each corner of the device to create a more seamless front surface.

Curved displays have appeared on several Android phones in the past, although many manufacturers later shifted back to flatter panels due to concerns around usability and accidental touches.
A quad-curved implementation would take a different approach by extending curvature across all sides of the display, rather than only along the left and right edges seen on earlier curved-screen phones.
Apple has not confirmed any plans for such a display, and as the company typically tests multiple hardware concepts before finalising commercial designs, the quad-curved concept simply highlights another direction Apple could explore as the iPhone approaches its 20-year anniversary milestone.
