Motorola’s next flip phone might not be a huge redesign but it’s already turning heads thanks to some bold new finishes.
Spotted by OnLeaks and shared via Android Headlines, fresh leaks of the upcoming Razr Ultra show a largely familiar foldable design. Expected to launch globally as the Razr 70 Ultra, the handset may come with eye-catching materials that could steal the spotlight.
The newly surfaced renders, reportedly official marketing images, point to two standout finishes: “Cocoa Wood” and “Orient Blue Alcantara.” The wood option looks like a darker evolution of last year’s Mountain Trail variant, which mimicked real wood grain surprisingly well.

Meanwhile, the Alcantara finish returns in a new purple-blue tone. This is a shift from the previous green version, which wasn’t exactly known for ageing gracefully.
Beyond the materials, though, this still looks very much like the current Razr formula. The large outer display remains, and the overall silhouette hasn’t changed dramatically.
That said, there are a few quirks. Some of the leaked images appear to omit a visible selfie camera cutout on the inner display. This could hint at under-display tech or more likely, just a rendering oversight.
Early reactions online suggest some fans are underwhelmed. Questions are already popping up about what’s actually new compared to the current model. Meanwhile, others are still holding out for more meaningful upgrades, like improved crease visibility or added features such as USB-C video output.
There’s also some scepticism around specs. Ongoing chip supply issues could limit higher storage variants and, as a result, some users are already speculating that a 1TB model might not make the cut this time around.
Still, Motorola’s foldables have consistently delivered strong hardware, even if software support has drawn criticism in the past. Whether this next Razr can strike a better balance remains to be seen.
If previous launch timelines are anything to go by, Motorola may not keep us waiting long. Last year’s Razr lineup landed around the same time, so an official reveal could be just weeks away.
