In partnership with Xperi, the catch-up and streaming platform ITVX is rolling out across BMW, Mini and upcoming Mercedes vehicles via the DTS AutoStage platform.
While ITVX is already available across compatible TVs, gaming consoles, mobile devices and the like, this is the platform’s first venture into automotive distribution.
As a refresher, DTS AutoStage brings live and streaming content together through an easy-to-use interface. It runs on TiVo’s content discovery infrastructure, and allows manufacturers to retain ownership of the in-car experience while offering passengers access to third-party streaming services without requiring them to switch between separate applications.
ITVX becomes the first UK public service broadcaster streaming platform to launch on DTS AutoStage, a distinction that reflects ITV’s push to widen its distribution reach as the service continues to grow its streaming numbers ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup coverage and a slate of returning reality and drama programming.
The service passed one billion streams for 2026 in early April, reaching that milestone eight days earlier than it did in 2025, with strong performance across reality formats, drama, and live sport driving the acceleration across the year so far.

BMW and Mini support at launch covers a wide range of models built from late 2023 onwards, spanning the 1 Series, 2 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X2, X3, X5, X6, X7, XM, iX, and several M and i variants, alongside the MINI Countryman, Cooper, Aceman, and Convertible ranges, with connectivity for streaming included as part of a BMW Digital Premium or MINI Connected Package subscription.
Mercedes-Benz support will follow and covers all vehicles running the Mercedes-Benz Operating System, including the new CLA, GLB, S-Class, and electric GLC, alongside the C-Class, E-Class, GLC, CLE, Maybach SL, AMG SL, and AMG GT across selected model years.
Xperi has not confirmed a specific date for the Mercedes-Benz rollout, describing the expansion as coming in the near future as the partnership moves beyond its BMW and MINI launch phase.
