Samsung’s Galaxy Glasses get an early look

A recent leak has seemingly revealed what Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Glasses could look like, should they launch as expected later this year.

The images, published by Android Headlines, show a frame that sits closer in appearance to conventional eyewear than most of its direct competitors, with temples that remain notably thinner than those found on rival smart glasses currently available at retail.

That slim profile reflects a design choice consistent with display-less hardware, where the absence of projection components reduces the engineering constraints that typically push frame dimensions outward on more specced-out alternatives like those with built-in screens.

Despite carrying no display, the Galaxy Glasses run on Android XR, the same platform that underpins the Galaxy XR headset, which positions Gemini-powered voice commands and the device’s front-facing cameras as the primary interface for interacting with the world around the wearer.

The unconfirmed specifications published alongside those images point to a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 chipset, a 12MP Sony image sensor, a 155mAh battery, bone-conduction audio and an approximate weight of 50 grams.

Pricing remains unconfirmed, though early reports place an estimated range of between $379 and $499 for the Galaxy Glasses, with a more premium variant, internally codenamed Haean and equipped with a micro-LED screen for notifications and navigation, understood to be targeting a 2027 release at a higher price point.

Samsung has not confirmed a launch window for the Galaxy Glasses, though the maturity of the leaked imagery and the device’s reported codename of Jinju within an early One UI 9 build suggests a reveal at Google I/O or the company’s planned summer Galaxy Unpacked event remains plausible.
