PlayStation Plus is getting an unexpected Xbox crossover next month, with Obsidian’s Grounded leading June’s free game lineup for subscribers.
Sony confirmed that the backyard survival game, which first launched on Xbox and PC before arriving on PlayStation in 2024, will be available for PS Plus members from June 2. It’s a pretty notable addition as Grounded comes from an Xbox-owned studio, another sign that Microsoft is becoming far more relaxed about bringing first-party games to rival platforms.
If you somehow missed it the first time around, Grounded basically turns Honey, I Shrunk the Kids into a survival game. You and your friends are shrunk down to insect size and dropped into a suburban backyard filled with giant spiders and ants. Surprisingly, even the blades of grass are terrifying. It’s weirdly charming and genuinely tense in places, and it’s safe to say it’s one of Obsidian’s most creative games in years.

Joining it are Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 for PS4 and PS5, plus Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on PS5. The former is essentially Nickelodeon’s answer to Smash Bros, while the latter brings chaotic co-op shooting set in the grim Warhammer universe.
All three games will be available to claim starting June 2. As usual, they’ll remain playable for as long as your PlayStation Plus subscription stays active.
Sony also confirmed that Destiny 2: Legacy Collection is joining the PS Plus Game Catalogue for Extra and Premium members on June 9. That bundle includes nearly every major Destiny 2 expansion up to 2024’s The Final Shape, which wrapped up the game’s long-running Light and Darkness storyline.
Outside of the games themselves, Sony’s Days of Play sale is also kicking off on May 27. This sale brings discounts on accessories, PS Plus memberships and major PlayStation titles. That includes games like Helldivers 2 and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. However, consoles don’t appear to be part of the promotion this time around.
