A fresh batch of images claiming to show the iPhone 18 Pro has surfaced online, giving us what appears to be our best look yet at Apple’s next flagship colours. The catch? They may not actually be iPhone 18 Pro parts at all.
The photos, shared by leaker LusiRoy8 on X, show rear panels in black, light blue and a dark cherry finish. At first glance, they look convincing enough especially as multiple chassis components are photographed from different angles, rather than the usual single blurry leak.
However, further analysis suggests the parts are more likely to be aftermarket replacement housings designed for the current iPhone 17 Pro which means they probably are not genuine iPhone 18 Pro components.
According to reports, sources familiar with Apple’s supply chain believe the images show third-party replacement parts that users can already buy. Not only that, but some of the images also appear to contain inconsistencies, including variations in screw holes and SIM tray cutouts, which raises further questions about their authenticity.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the colours themselves are impossible. Apple has regularly experimented with muted blues, darker metallic finishes and richer reds across previous generations. But at this stage there’s nothing to suggest these specific shades have any connection to the iPhone 18 Pro.
The leak is also a reminder of how difficult it has become to separate genuine Apple rumours from fabricated ones. Some observers have suggested parts of the images may have been digitally altered. Meanwhile, others point to the growing market for third-party components that can easily be mistaken for unreleased hardware.
For now, the photos remain interesting simply because they’re more detailed than most early iPhone leaks. However, if you’re already deciding between a blue or dark cherry iPhone 18 Pro, it might be worth holding off a little longer.
As things stand, these could be our clearest look yet at potential iPhone 18 Pro colours. Otherwise, it could just be a very convincing set of replacement parts.
