Samsung’s next flagship phones could be getting a sizeable battery boost. New 3C certification details for the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra reveal 60W wired charging for both models, alongside larger batteries than their predecessors.
The two phones have been certified for sale in China, with the certification revealing their charging capabilities. Both the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra are listed with support for 60W wired charging, matching the charging speed offered by this year’s Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The more interesting change is underneath the rear cover. The Galaxy S27 Ultra‘s battery is reportedly rated at 5,534mAh, which would likely translate to a 5,700mAh advertised capacity. That’s 700mAh more than the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s advertised capacity, according to the report.
The Galaxy S27 Pro could get an even more interesting upgrade. Its battery is reportedly rated at 5,087mAh, which would likely be advertised as 5,200mAh. Despite being the smaller phone, that would give the S27 Pro a larger battery than the current Galaxy S26 Ultra.
That’s potentially a pretty meaningful change for Samsung’s flagship range, particularly as the company has traditionally stuck with relatively conservative battery capacities compared with some of its Chinese rivals. The certification suggests Samsung could finally be giving its upcoming phones more room to work with between charges.
Charging, meanwhile, doesn’t appear to be getting the same treatment. Both models are reportedly sticking with 60W wired charging, so there’s no increase over the Galaxy S26 Ultra in that department.
It’s worth keeping in mind that these figures come from certification details rather than Samsung itself, and the advertised capacities haven’t been officially confirmed. The 5,700mAh and 5,200mAh figures are expected capacities, based on how manufacturers typically present rated battery capacity.
Still, if the certification details are accurate, Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra could bring one of the more noticeable battery upgrades to the flagship range.
