A US OnePlus 15 release date is now even closer

The OnePlus 15 may finally be on the verge of a US launch.

The phone, which debuted globally earlier this month but skipped American shelves, has now cleared a key regulatory hurdle, meaning the wait might not stretch much longer.

The holdup wasn’t due to hardware issues or carrier delays but something far more procedural: FCC approval. Every device with wireless radios needs the agency’s sign-off before it can be sold in the US, and the OnePlus 15 simply got caught in the backlog created by the government shutdown that ran from October 1 to November 12. That pushed the device past its original US launch window, even though it was ready elsewhere.

Now, an FCC filing for a device labelled CPH2749, matching OnePlus 15 regional model numbers, has surfaced. First spotted by a Reddit user, the approval effectively removes the last major barrier keeping the phone out of the US market.

OnePlus hasn’t opened sales yet, likely because of timing around the Thanksgiving holiday and the logistics that follow, but with FCC clearance secured, the official announcement should be close. Very close.

The OnePlus 15’s early global arrival surprised many, especially after the brand chose to launch in China first. In our review, we found plenty to like, particularly the excellent battery life, even if some aspects didn’t quite land. That made its absence in the US feel even more noticeable.

With the regulatory slowdown now behind it, the OnePlus 15 finally looks set to complete its global rollout. US customers should expect news sooner rather than later.
