Ultra short-throw projectors are usually bulky pieces of kit, but JMGO is aiming to shrink that footprint dramatically with its latest laser projector.
At CES 2026, JMGO introduced the JMGO O2S Ultra, a compact tri-laser projector designed to deliver large-screen visuals from just inches away from the wall while taking up far less space than most laser TV systems.
The O2S Ultra uses JMGO’s MALC 3.0 triple-laser optical system and is rated at 3600 ISO lumens, paired with a native 4K resolution and a quoted dynamic contrast ratio of up to 3,000,000:1.
Colour performance is a major focus, with JMGO claiming 110% coverage of the BT.2020 colour gamut and colour accuracy rated at ΔE below 1, figures that place it firmly in premium laser TV territory.
What makes the O2S Ultra stand out physically is its 0.16:1 throw ratio, which allows it to project an image between 80 and 150 inches from as little as 6.6 inches from the wall.
That extremely short throw distance means the projector can sit closer to the wall than many competing ultra short-throw models, making it easier to integrate into smaller living spaces.
The projector can also run Google TV, with built-in access to Netflix and support for Google Assistant, alongside automatic focus, keystone correction and screen fitting to simplify setup.
Image processing features include HDR10 support, MEMC motion smoothing, AI-enhanced picture modes, wall colour adaptation and intelligent image flattening designed to compensate for uneven projection surfaces.
Audio is handled by a built-in Dynaudio-tuned speaker system, delivering two 10W drivers with bass response claimed down to 40Hz, alongside Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support for external audio setups.
Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1 with eARC, USB, LAN, optical audio and Wi-Fi 6, positioning the O2S Ultra as a fully fledged replacement for a large-screen TV rather than a secondary display.
Pricing and regional availability have not been confirmed, but the O2S Ultra is JMGO’s most advanced compact laser TV projector to date.
