New Galaxy S26 and S26+ renders showcase very familiar phones

Samsung’s next Galaxy S phones are starting to take shape, but spotting the differences could be a challenge.

Ahead of an expected February 25 launch, new renders and leaked specs for the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ give us a fairly clear idea of what Samsung has planned.

It’s safe to say it’ll be a very familiar affair, if true.

Starting with design, the leaked renders suggest the Galaxy S26 and S26+ will be visually identical, with screen size the main differentiator. Both phones appear to stick with a flat display, a centred hole-punch selfie camera, and slim, uniform bezels all round. The power and volume buttons sit on the right edge.

Meanwhile, the back features a triple-camera setup housed in a small camera island at the top left. The frame and rear panel are flat too. Therefore, some wobble on a table is likely unless you’re using a case.

On the spec side, the Galaxy S26 is said to feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display, paired with a 4,300mAh battery. In Europe, it’s expected to run on Samsung’s Exynos 2600. Other regions may see a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 variant. Storage options are expected to include 256GB. The phone should also ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 out of the box.

Camera hardware looks familiar. The S26 is tipped to use a 50MP main camera, joined by a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto, plus a 12MP selfie camera on the front. Dimensions are reportedly 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2mm. The weight is a surprisingly light 137g.

The Galaxy S26+ scales things up. It’s said to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and a larger 4,900mAh battery, but it keeps the same camera setup as the standard S26. Like its smaller sibling, it’s expected to use the Exynos 2600 in Europe and support Wireless Power Share. The S26+ reportedly measures 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm and weighs 190g.

Both phones are expected to sit alongside the Galaxy S26 Ultra at launch, but even that appears quite familiar based on leaked renders.
