Sivga is giving one of its most popular headphones a proper upgrade.
The SV021 Pro builds on the success of the original SV021. It keeps its warm, easy-listening character while refining the sound, materials and comfort. These improvements should matter to long-term listeners.
The SV021 Pro is available from Amazon and selected retailers worldwide, priced at £179 / $179 / €199. That puts it squarely in the affordable hi-fi bracket. However, Sivga is clearly pitching it as a more considered step up. It is not just a simple refresh.
The biggest change sits at the heart of the headphones. The SV021 Pro introduces a newly developed 50mm aluminium diaphragm dynamic driver, designed to improve clarity and detail without losing the natural tone that made the original so appealing.
Additionally, Sivga says the five-layer composite diaphragm strikes a careful balance between rigidity and damping. This helps the Pro model deliver cleaner mids and highs alongside controlled bass.
Efficiency has also been improved through an ultra-fine copper-aluminium alloy voice coil and a revised magnetic circuit. This should make the SV021 Pro easier to drive while keeping distortion low. On paper at least, it looks like a meaningful technical upgrade rather than a cosmetic one.
Design-wise, Sivga is sticking to what it does best. The SV021 Pro features handcrafted wooden earcups, available in Beechwood or Zebrawood. Each finish offers a slightly different look and subtly influences the headphone’s tonal character. The natural wood finish gives the Pro a premium feel. This stands out in a sea of plastic over-ears.

Comfort has clearly been a focus too. The new velour ear pads are wider and more breathable. They are designed for longer listening sessions without fatigue. Moreover, they’re paired with a metal support structure that distributes pressure more evenly across the head. This helps the headphones stay secure without clamping too hard.
The SV021 Pro also ships with a detachable oxygen-free copper cable, aimed at preserving signal quality. This also makes replacements or upgrades easy down the line.
With a familiar sound signature, upgraded driver tech and the same attention to materials that defined the original, the SV021 Pro looks like a thoughtful evolution rather than a reinvention. This makes them a tempting option for anyone after a closed-back headphone with character as well as comfort.
