There’s a new Sky Cinema channel for Disney fans, and it’s live now

Sky has quietly rolled out a new Disney+ Cinema channel, giving subscribers a dedicated place to watch Disney films without needing to jump into the app.

It’s live now on channel 305, available across both satellite and Sky’s streaming platforms.

The new channel lands alongside a broader push to integrate Disney+ more deeply into Sky’s ecosystem. For Sky Cinema subscribers, that means instant access to a rotating lineup of films. No separate Disney+ subscription is required for the linear channel itself.

Early titles set to appear include Iron Man, Deadpool and Wolverine, Finding Nemo and Up, alongside newer releases like Alien: Romulus and Death on the Nile. It’s essentially a curated, always-on feed of Disney content. You don’t need to actively search for something to watch.

The timing isn’t accidental. Sky has also started bundling the ad-supported version of Disney+ into most of its TV packages. As a result, a large number of users can now access Disney’s full catalogue on-demand at no extra cost. However, this is as long as they activate it through their account.

On newer platforms like Sky Glass and Sky Stream, Disney+ is now fully integrated into the interface. Shows and films appear in Continue Watching, search results, and personalised recommendations. This puts them alongside content from Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV. Voice controls also work across Disney+ content, making it easier to jump between apps without thinking about where something lives.

For Sky Q users, the experience is similar, though tied to specific packages like Sky Signature or Sky Entertainment. Older Sky+ boxes miss out entirely, with Sky nudging customers toward newer hardware or its Stream platform instead.

There are a few knock-on changes, too. As part of the reshuffle, Sky Cinema Animation has moved from channel 305 to new positions depending on your setup.

It’s a relatively small update on paper, but it signals where Sky is heading – blending traditional channels with streaming in a way that feels a bit more seamless. At the same time, it feels a bit less like juggling apps.
