Oura rival Ultrahuman is back in the US with pre-orders for the Ring Pro

Ultrahuman is officially back in the US. The company has also reopened pre-orders for its new Ring Pro, following clearance from US Customs.

This brings its subscription-free smart ring back to American buyers with a sharper focus on battery life and medical-grade features.

At a glance, the Ring Pro is built to go longer than most rivals. It offers up to 15 days of battery life, stretching to 45+ days when paired with the new Pro Charging Case. This is a clear play for users tired of frequent charging cycles on wearables.

That case isn’t just a battery pack, either. It adds features like Find My Case tracking, LED battery indicators and faster firmware updates. Additionally, it extends on-device data storage up to a year. The ring itself can store around 250 days of health data, reducing the need to stay constantly connected to a phone.

Design-wise, Ultrahuman has gone for a titanium unibody build, paired with a redesigned heart-rate sensor and a dual-core processor that enables on-device machine learning. It’s available in four finishes – Bionic Gold, Space Silver, Aster Black and Raw Titanium. These are offered across sizes 5 to 14.

The bigger push, though, is on health tracking, and crucially, without a paywall. Ultrahuman is sticking with its no-subscription model, meaning sleep, recovery, movement, stress and circadian insights are all included upfront. That’s a notable shift from competitors that lock deeper analytics behind monthly fees.

For those who want more, optional “PowerPlugs” add extra features, including AFib detection (a first for smart rings), ovulation tracking, respiratory monitoring, migraine insights and even GLP-1 tracking. There’s also “Jade AI”, which ties together data from other health devices for broader insights.

Pre-orders open with tiered pricing, starting at $349 for the first 1,000 buyers (bundled with the Pro Charging Case), before rising to $449 as stock fills. The full bundle will retail at $479. Meanwhile, the ring alone will start at $399 after launch.

Shipping is set to begin on May 15, marking Ultrahuman’s full return to the US market. This time, the focus is on longer battery life and fewer ongoing costs.
