Finally, Sky’s best channel can be watched by millions more people for free

Virgin Media O2 is adding Sky Atlantic to its Virgin TV platform from today (April 1), giving over a million existing customers access to the channel at no extra cost.

Virgin TV 360 and Stream box customers who already receive Sky Entertainment channels, which include Sky Comedy, Sky Witness, and the soon-to-relaunch Sky One, will find Sky Atlantic available on channel 111 without any additional sign-up or subscription changes required.

The arrival brings a substantial library of Sky Originals and Exclusives to Virgin TV customers, including Under Salt Marsh, the crime thriller starring Kelly Reilly and Rafe Spall that drew 1.8 million viewers within its first seven days of release.

HBO programming forms another significant part of the Sky Atlantic offering, with House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, and upcoming seasons of Euphoria and The White Lotus all accessible through the channel, the latter of which ranked as Sky Atlantic’s most-watched show in 2025.

Further titles available from launch include All Her Fault, the Sky Exclusive starring Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning based on Andrea Mara’s bestselling novel, and Amadeus, a five-part limited series charting the rise and fall of Wolfgang Mozart with Will Sharpe and Paul Bettany in the lead roles.

What’s coming soon

Upcoming additions to the Sky Atlantic slate on Virgin TV include The Miniature Wife, arriving on April 9, The Good Daughter later in the year, and the second series of Sweetpea, all of which will be available to Virgin TV customers as part of the same no-cost arrangement.

The Sky Atlantic addition follows Virgin Media O2’s recent announcement that HBO Max will also become available to subscribe to via Virgin TV 360 and Stream boxes when the service launches in the UK next month, continuing a run of content expansions for the platform.

New customers can access Sky Atlantic by taking a Virgin TV and broadband bundle, with prices starting from £31.99 per month, while existing eligible customers need only tune to channel 111 to begin watching.

This follows news that Virgin is giving customers a free 4K boost, just in time for Easter.
