Better known in the UK for its home appliances, Haier is moving into the television market with three new series covering QLED and 4K LED technology, as it looks to establish itself as a connected home ecosystem player rather than a white goods specialist.
Fire TV and Freely come built into the full range, giving buyers instant access to streaming services including Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube alongside live TV, all without needing a traditional aerial connection.
The lineup spans the flagship S90, the mid-range S80, and the entry-level K85, sizes differ for each model with the K85 available in 43- to 65-inch sizes, the S80 from 43- to a larger 75-inches, and the tope of the lines S90 offering sizes from 55- to 85-inches. This gives buyers options across most living space configurations from bedroom setups through to large living rooms.
The flagship S90 QLED
Sitting at the top of the range, the S90 uses QLED panel technology with AI picture optimisation and lists up to 93% DCI-P3 colour coverage to convey “richer, more lifelike colours” on screen. The design incoporates a middle pedestal to sit on surfaces.
Gamers benefit from VRR support up to 144Hz for smoother looking visuals and less motion blur for games and consoles that support VRR.
HDR support on the S90 spans Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and HLG, with Dolby Atmos sound built in to the TV’s speakers.
And the rest…

The S80 also features a QLED panel, as well as MEMC motion enhancement for more consistently smooth images and reduction judder from sources.
The entry-level K85 series uses a 4K LED backlight rather than QLED panel, with HDR10 and HLG support included as Haier positions the K85 as the accessible entry point for buyers upgrading from an older 1080p panel to a 4K set. Both of these screens feature feet set towards the edges of the screen.
Audio across the range is tuned by British hi-fi maestros KEF, a partnership that adds credibility to a part of the TV experience that budget and mid-range sets frequently compromise on. Alexa voice control is integrated throughout the range for hands-free navigation.
