Arcam celebrates 50 years with the launch of two new products

Arcam is marking its 50th anniversary with two new high-end audio launches: the A50 Signature integrated amplifier and the CD25 CD player, with both products making their debut at High End Vienna 2026.

Rather than leaning on nostalgia, Arcam has positioned both devices as a continuation of its current Radia Series. There is a clear focus on modern system flexibility, refined engineering, and higher-end performance.

At the centre of the launch is the A50 Signature, the new flagship integrated amplifier. It is the most advanced Class G model Arcam has released to date.

Its fully dual-mono architecture stands out as the headline upgrade, with each channel built as a completely separate amplification path. That includes individual PCBs, output stages, power regulation, and even transformer windings per channel. The idea is to reduce crosstalk and improve stereo separation by physically splitting the signal paths inside the chassis.

Power output is rated at 2 x 150W into 8 ohms, giving it enough headroom for a wide range of speakers. Meanwhile, a centrally positioned power supply helps keep the internal layout balanced between analogue, digital, and power sections.

On the digital side, Arcam has fitted an ESS ES9039Q2M DAC, running in a fully differential configuration with dedicated voltage regulation. It’s designed to act as a central hub rather than just an amplifier. You get support for HDMI eARC, USB-C audio, optical and coaxial inputs. In addition, it offers Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast.

There’s also full analogue support, including RCA, XLR, and a built-in MM/MC phono stage. This means that it can still slot into more traditional hi-fi setups without compromise.

Alongside the amplifier, Arcam is also introducing the CD25, a new flagship CD player for the Radia range.

It’s the first Arcam CD player since the FMJ D33 DAC to use a dual-mono DAC architecture. This time, ESS Hyperstream 4 technology powers it. As a result, it aims to improve channel separation and deliver more controlled dynamics in standard CD playback.

Inside, a linear toroidal power supply reduces noise and maintains stability. Additionally, a vibration-damped chassis minimises mechanical interference during disc reading.

Outputs include both balanced XLR and RCA. This allows it to connect directly to high-end systems like the A50 Signature or Arcam’s broader Radia lineup.

Taken together, the A50 Signature and CD25 continue Arcam’s shift towards full system design rather than standalone components. Both form part of a wider ecosystem that tightly matches amplification, conversion, and source playback.

Pricing starts at $2999 / £2499 / €2799 for the A50 Signature, and $1799 / £1499 / €1599 for the CD25. Availability is expected from Q3 2026.
