Google’s next Pixel Drop leak hints at Screen Reactions and paid features

Google may have accidentally revealed some of the features coming in its next Pixel Drop. This comes after promotional videos appeared online ahead of an official announcement.

The leaked ads, first spotted by Droid-Life, tease a mix of new AI-powered tools. These include a long-rumoured Screen Reactions feature and additional Gemini Omni capabilities. The timing suggests Google’s next Pixel Drop could be just around the corner. In fact, the company is already running later than usual with its latest quarterly update.

The standout addition is Screen Reactions. Google first showed off the feature during The Android Show in May before rolling it into recent Android beta builds. It allows users to record what’s happening on their screen. At the same time, they can capture their reaction through the front-facing camera. This creates a picture-in-picture style video without needing third-party apps.

The leaked material also points to a wider rollout of Gemini Omni, Google’s multimodal AI system. This system was introduced at Google I/O 2026. According to the ads, Pixel users will be able to combine different types of media. In turn, they can create videos directly on their devices.

Another teaser highlights AI-generated music. One promotional clip carries the tagline “Turn Your Ideas into Music”. This suggests users could soon create songs or audio clips from simple text prompts.

However, that’s where things get a little confusing. Many of the Gemini Omni features shown in the ads are already available to users who pay for Google’s higher-tier AI subscriptions through Google One. It’s unclear whether Google plans to bring these tools to all Pixel owners as part of the update. Alternatively, the Pixel Drop may simply be used to spotlight features that remain behind a paywall.

That distinction could end up being more significant than any new feature itself. While Screen Reactions appears to be a genuinely new Pixel-exclusive addition, the AI tools may not be quite as new as Google’s marketing suggests.

Google hasn’t confirmed a release date for the update. However, with promotional material already surfacing and the June Pixel Drop running behind schedule, Pixel users likely won’t have long to wait.
