Jackery is launching two new products aimed to help with rising energy costs and grid unreliability: FridgeGuard, the slimmest refrigerator backup battery; and three HomePower Series batteries for whole-home backup.
FridgeGuard
The headline product is FridgeGuard, which Jackery says is the world’s slimmest refrigerator backup battery. At just 2.6 inches thick and weighing 10.5kg (, it is designed to sit discreetly in a kitchen.
With its 1024Wh capacity, FridgeGuard can provide backup power for up to 15 hours, depending on the size of your fridge freezer. Add the optional expansion battery and this time can be doubled to 30-hours of backup power.
Should the power go out, the FridgeGuard has a 10ms switchover time, so your fridge can keep running with virtually no interruption.
Jackery has also included several refrigerator-specific features, including a 1600W peak compressor support, surge protection, and a bypass mode. For bypass mode, the FridgeGuard routes grid power directly to the appliance once the battery is fully charged, to preserve long-term battery health.
The company says the device works with 99% of modern refrigerators. However, it can also be used with devices such as CPAP machines, aquarium pumps, and home office equipment.
HomePower Series
Jackery also unveiled a new HomePower Series for whole-home backup, consisting of three models designed for different users.
The flagship HomePower 3600 Pro Max starts with 3584Wh of capacity, expandable up to 43kWh. It can power multiple rooms or large appliances during extended blackouts. Combine it with a Manual Transfer Switch (MTS), and it can power your entire home.
The mid-range HomePower 2000 Plus v2 has 2048Wh of capacity with expansion up to 12kWh. And, the entry-level HomePower 1000 v2 is designed for home offices. It has a 1024Wh capacity, 1500W output, and sub-10ms UPS protection for PCs, routers, and other sensitive electronics.
All three models use LiFePO4 batteries rated for 6000 cycles with at least 70% capacity, which Jackery says equates to around 16 years of use.
FridgeGuard launches as a Costco exclusive priced at $559.99 for members. The HomePower Series will be available from June 23 through Jackery’s website and Amazon: the HomePower 3600 Pro Max starts at $2999, the 2000 Plus v2 at $1799 and the 1000 v2 at $849.
