Samsung Health has finally had its long-promised makeover

Samsung has begun rolling out a long-awaited redesign of its Samsung Health app, bringing a refreshed interface and new health-tracking features to give users a clearer picture of their overall well-being.

The biggest immediate change upon opening the app is the redesigned UI. This puts more emphasis on key health metrics and daily summaries, along with several new features designed to make health tracking more actionable.

One of the main additions is Vitals, which tracks five overnight biometrics – heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen – and compares them against a personal baseline to flag any meaningful changes.

There’s also a new Heart Health Score, which combines sleep, stress, activity levels, and body composition data into a single daily rating. It’s designed to give users a quicker snapshot of overall cardiovascular health without needing to dig through pages of stats.

For more active users, Daily Cardio Load has been added to measure cardiovascular strain by comparing daily effort against maximum training capacity. Meanwhile, the new Fitness Index looks at heart rate, VO2 max, and step counts and highlights strengths and weaknesses in physical conditioning.

Samsung has also expanded several existing tools. The Antioxidant Index now includes trend charts and historical data tracking, while the AGEs index can automatically monitor overnight readings. A new Hearing Health feature has also been introduced to help users better protect their long-term hearing.

While the update doesn’t radically change what Samsung Health does, it does make the experience more structured and easier to read at a glance.
