Samsung has offered its clearest look yet at the next generation of Galaxy smartwatches ahead of its Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July, teasing new AI-powered health features, upgrades to battery life, performance and more.
While the company stopped short of naming the devices outright, the teaser all but confirms the arrival of the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, both of which have featured heavily in recent leaks.
Rather than focusing on hardware specs alone, Samsung is positioning its next watches around what it calls an AI-powered “Health Companion”. According to the company, the new Galaxy Watch will act as an “always-on gateway” to personalised health insights. It continuously monitors users in the background and turns that data into real-time recommendations.
Samsung says simply wearing the watch will deliver “a whole new level of effortless wellness”. It claims AI analyses health data to help users better understand and proactively manage their wellbeing throughout the day.
The teaser also hints at several hardware upgrades. Samsung promises all-new internal components and a new processor, along with improved battery life. It says this will allow the watches to track health metrics for longer while improving overall accuracy.
The promotional video also reveals a handful of design details. Samsung highlights a sleeker shape, a titanium construction and a crystal-clear display. Meanwhile, it suggests the new watches are built for everything, including trail running, cycling, ocean diving and other demanding outdoor activities.
Health tracking remains a major focus. The teaser references heart rate monitoring, calorie tracking, blood pressure, sleep apnoea detection and automatic body composition analysis, alongside AI-generated insights.
The full picture should become clear at Galaxy Unpacked in London on 22 July where Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8. While the company is keeping some details under wraps for now, its latest teaser suggests AI-powered health features will be the headline attraction for this year’s Galaxy Watch lineup.
