Xiaomi has launched the Smart Band 11 Active in the UK at £24.99, undercutting its own lineup as the budget wearable race heats up.
That launch lands within one of the most competitive corners of the wearables market, where budget fitness trackers priced under £30 face mounting pressure from Chinese brands cutting prices to win over entry-level buyers moving on from basic step counters.
The UK rollout also completes a staggered release that started with a limited launch in Poland, before Xiaomi widened availability to a handful of additional countries earlier this September and left much of Europe waiting until now.
Within that competitive squeeze, the Smart Band 11 Active’s UK price undercuts the Smart Band 10, the older model Xiaomi still sells for around £39.99 through retailers such as Amazon, a gap that makes the newer Active the cheaper entry point into the lineup.
Display and hardware trade-offs
The Smart Band 11 Active keeps Xiaomi’s familiar Smart Band shape but swaps the AMOLED panel found on the standard Smart Band 11 for a 1.47-inch TFT display with a 172 x 320-pixel resolution, a compromise that explains part of the price gap.
That trade-off reflects a wider pattern among budget fitness trackers, where brands increasingly swap sharper AMOLED screens for cheaper TFT panels to hit lower price points without cutting core health tracking features.
Buyers can choose between black, grey and pomelo pink finishes, and the tracker adds 24/7 heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking and 5 ATM water resistance alongside more than 100 watch faces and 50 pre-installed sports modes.
Powering those features, Xiaomi claims the 300 mAh cell delivers up to 21 days of battery life, though the Active still misses the tap-to-pay support found on some of the brand’s pricier wearables.
Pricing and availability
Pricing across the Eurozone ranges between €29 and €39 depending on the market, while UK buyers can order the tracker directly from Xiaomi’s website for £24.99, a figure that undercuts most rival fitness bands sold in Britain.
Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the Smart Band 11 Active will reach further regions beyond the Eurozone and the UK, even as the standard Smart Band 11 remains limited to China following its recent debut there.
