Ecovacs’ new robot vacuum is designed to tackle those notoriously difficult, and stubborn, dried-on messes that other automated floor cleaners simply can’t handle.
The Deebot X12 OmniCyclone builds on its predecessor, the X11 OmniCyclone, with a suite of upgrades that include pre-treatment cleaning, faster recharging and a more consistent mop performance.
FocusJet technology and roller mopping
The headline feature here is undoubtedly FocusJet Stain Pre-Dissolving Technology, which Ecovacs describes as an industry first. Using infrared and camera-based detection, the technology identifies and applies targeted water jets to soften dried stains before the mop even makes contact.
The Ozmo Roller Mop 3.0 works alongside a 32-channel pressurised spray system that feeds clean water continuously to the mop head as it moves, a design that ensures the robot doesn’t simply redistribute dirty water across floors during a clean.
Carpet transitions are handled by an automatic mop-lifting mechanism paired with a Mop Roller Smart Cover that deploys when the robot moves onto fabric surfaces, keeping moisture off carpets without requiring the user to intervene mid-cycle.
For homes with pets or long hair, the X12 pairs up to 22,000Pa suction with a ZeroTangle 4.0 brush technology, which the company says reduces hair wrap around the brush roller, and TruEdge 3.0 Adaptive Edge Cleaning to improve coverage along walls and baseboards.
Charging and station features
Supporting longer cleaning sessions is PowerBoost Charging Plus, a fast-charging system that allows the robot to recharge and return to work faster than previous generations, targeting larger homes where a single battery cycle may not be sufficient to complete a full clean.
The OMNI Station that accompanies the X12 handles mop washing, drying, debris emptying, and cleaning solution management automatically, and uses a bagless PureCyclone system that reduces the need for replacement bags over time.

The X12 OmniCyclone’s bagless design marks a notable departure from the self-emptying robots that have dominated the category, most of which rely on disposable bags in the dock despite the vacuum itself having moved away from bagged collection years ago.
AI-assisted scheduling and navigation come via Agent Yiko 2.0, which adapts cleaning plans based on room layout and usage patterns to prioritise high-traffic areas without requiring manual input.
The Deebot X12 OmniCyclone is priced at $1,499 in the US and CA$1,999.99 in Canada, available now through Ecovacs’ official site and Amazon.
