Google may have accidentally revealed another as a mysterious device appeared in marketing images for the new Pixel 11 series.
The unreleased wearable was spotted in Pixel 11 promotional material shared via YouTube and appears alongside Google’s newly launched Pixel Watch 5 and other Pixel products.
While Google has not announced the device or explained what it is, the images provide a few clues about what could be its design and positioning.

Unlike the screen-free Fitbit Air, the mystery wearable clearly has a display. However, it doesn’t appear to use the circular screen found on the Pixel Watch 5. It also does not use the more conventional square display seen on the Fitbit Versa 4. Instead, the device appears to have a noticeably oblong-shaped display.
There also don’t appear to be any physical buttons visible on the wearable. The promotional images show it in Olive and Fog, two colours that match options available for the Pixel 11 series. That doesn’t necessarily mean these will be the only colours available, though, as Google could introduce additional finishes when the device is officially announced.
So what exactly is it? One possibility is that Google is preparing a successor to the Fitbit Charge 6, which is now approaching three years old. The mystery device’s design and apparent focus on displaying information would make it a logical candidate for a new Charge model. It could potentially be called the Fitbit Charge 7.
If that is what Google has planned, it could occupy an interesting position in the company’s wearable lineup. The screenless Fitbit Air is designed to provide health and fitness tracking without the distractions of a display. Meanwhile, the Pixel Watch 5 offers a full smartwatch experience. A new Charge could sit between the two, giving users access to a display and fitness-tracking information without stepping up to a full smartwatch.
For now, however, that’s speculation. Google has not confirmed the identity, specifications or release plans for the wearable. The appearance of the device in Pixel 11 advertising doesn’t necessarily mean a launch is imminent.
With the Pixel Watch 5 only recently announced, it seems Google has more wearable hardware in the pipeline. We’ll need to wait for an official announcement before knowing whether this mysterious tracker really is the long-awaited successor to the Charge 6.
