Adobe Firefly is expanding beyond images and video with a new set of audio tools designed to help creators generate music, voiceovers and sound effects without leaving the platform.
The company has now made Firefly’s Generate Music, Generate Speech and Generate Sound Effects tools generally available. This gives creators a way to build more of their content in one place. In addition, Adobe is also adding more AI models to Firefly and opening up its Firefly AI Assistant to anyone through a new free experience with daily generations.
Generate Music creates original, fully licensed tracks based on the length and mood of a video. That could be particularly useful for creators who don’t want to spend time searching through music libraries or worry about whether a track can be used commercially.
Adobe says copyright and legal risks are the biggest barriers to using music for 43.2% of creators surveyed, while 38.9% cited licensing costs. The company conducted the survey with Berklee College of Music among video creators, musicians and marketers.
Generate Speech, meanwhile, turns written scripts into voiceovers. Creators can use Adobe’s own Firefly speech model or ElevenLabs, giving them a choice of voice generation tools within Firefly.
Generate Sound Effects rounds out the new audio offering by creating custom effects based on the action, timing and energy of the content. According to Adobe, the tools are designed for everything from social videos and live vlogs to short films, product tutorials and podcast clips.
The audio features aren’t the only new additions. Firefly AI Assistant is also getting a free experience that provides daily generations, allowing anyone to try Adobe’s AI creative tools without immediately committing to a subscription.

Adobe has also expanded Firefly’s model selection with Gemini Omni Flash, which can work with video, audio and image inputs alongside text, allowing creators to develop and edit video through back-and-forth prompts.
With the latest additions, Adobe is positioning Firefly as a more complete creative workspace, bringing image, video, audio and design tools together rather than requiring creators to jump between different apps and subscriptions.
