Oppo has confirmed that its upcoming Find X10 Pro Max will launch internationally with MediaTek’s new flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, making it one of the first phones to use the new 2nm platform.
Built using TSMC’s 2nm N2P process, the Dimensity 9600 Pro is designed to deliver more performance without pushing power consumption higher. Oppo says the new process improves CPU multi-core energy efficiency by up to 61% compared with the previous generation, which should give the Find X10 Pro Max a stronger foundation for sustained performance and on-device AI.
The chip uses MediaTek’s All-Big-Core architecture, with two C2-Ultra cores running at up to 4.55GHz alongside six performance cores. Oppo says this delivers a 17% overall CPU performance improvement, while independent frequency control allows the cores to be managed more precisely depending on the workload.
Gaming is getting an upgrade too. The new G2-Ultra NX GPU adds enhanced ray tracing and neural graphics capabilities, with MediaTek claiming around 27% higher performance under sustained heavy workloads. That should give the Find X10 Pro Max more headroom for demanding games and richer graphics.
Oppo is also introducing its Laminar Flow Engine with the Find X10 Pro Max. Developed jointly with MediaTek, the technology coordinates rendering and system scheduling to improve responsiveness while keeping power use in check. Oppo says it can also speed up app launches and keep content loading smooth during demanding tasks such as rapidly browsing photos.
There’s still plenty we don’t know about the Find X10 Pro Max itself, including its price and the rest of its hardware. Oppo says more details will be revealed at the phone’s upcoming global launch event.
For now, though, the combination of a 2nm flagship chipset, stronger sustained performance and a major focus on on-device AI gives the Find X10 Pro Max an interesting starting point.
