FiiO’s new DP11 CD player brings CD playback back to hi-fi and desktop setups.
CD sales are enjoying an unlikely comeback, with revenue up 58 percent and volume up 45 percent in the US during the first half of 2026, according to the RIAA. Those figures mark a bright spot for physical media, which appears to be finding a footing with younger generations.
Portable CD players have also driven that resurgence, and FiiO’s own DM15 R2R already showed listeners can be keen to dig out old collections as buy fresh discs. Its success helped to give the portable CD player market a boost in 2025, and the DP11 now extends that same appetite for physical formats into the home.
Physically, the DP11 acts as a hi-fi or desktop companion, bringing CD playback to an existing system or a compatible active speaker setup without the need for a separate transport.
A built-in USB socket lets owners rip CDs directly onto a USB stick for lossless copies without connecting a laptop or computer at all. The same connection also functions as a USB DAC that decodes audio up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM or native DSD256 when linked to a computer.
Extensive output options make the DP11 a natural partner for streaming headphone amplifiers such as the FiiO K17, or dedicated speaker amplifiers including the FiiO EA13 tube amp, among other compatible setups.
Digital connectivity includes AES, coaxial and optical outputs alongside the standard stereo RCA line output, and that spread gives the DP11 a degree of flexibility in how to connect to an existing set-up.

A 3.7-inch display, an all-metal chassis and a quiet tray-loading mechanism reinforce the DP11’s retro character, and FiiO includes a dedicated remote control along with MQA-CD bitstream passthrough support for those still holding onto their MQA-encoded discs.
Inside there’s a CS43198 DAC that sits alongside two separate power supplies and dedicated circuit boards for the CD servo, digital processing and analogue output stages, a layout that keeps each section electrically isolated to stop them from affecting one another.
Two ultra-low-phase-noise femtosecond crystal oscillators handle timing duties, and the DP11 also accepts an external 12V linear power supply for owners who want to upgrade beyond the built-in switching unit.
FiiO plans to launch the DP11 in October priced at $185 / €184.99 alongside the brand’s new Modular Hi-Fi Device Storage Rack.
