Some Pixel 10 Pro owners are finding an unexpected extra year of Google AI Pro in their accounts, potentially giving them another 12 months of the subscription without paying the usual $20 a month.
Google originally offered Pixel 10 Pro buyers a year of Google AI Pro for free, but those who picked up their phones around launch are now reaching the end of that trial. For some users, though, another 12-month offer has appeared just as the first one expires.
The discovery came from a post on the r/GooglePixel subreddit, where one user said they were able to redeem another free year. Other users have since reported seeing the same offer, suggesting this isn’t necessarily an isolated case.
There doesn’t seem to be a clear pattern to where the offer appears. The original poster found it through the My Pixel app, while others reportedly spotted it inside the Google One app. That makes it look more like a possible account or redemption glitch than a new promotion Google has deliberately rolled out.
It’s also worth checking if you own a Pixel 10 Pro and your first free year has recently ended. If the offer is showing in your account, the reported saving works out to $240 over 12 months, based on Google AI Pro’s $20 monthly price.
There’s a little history here, too. The original Google AI Pro promotion wasn’t always straightforward to redeem, so it’s possible that some of these second offers are leftovers from the earlier promotion rather than an entirely new deal.
Google hasn’t been cited as officially announcing a second free year in the source, so there’s no guarantee you’ll find one waiting in your account. And given that the offer appears inconsistently across Google’s own apps, it may disappear just as quickly as it appeared.
Still, if your Pixel 10 Pro’s complimentary Google AI Pro subscription has just run out, it’s worth taking a quick look through My Pixel and Google One before signing up for a paid plan. Some owners are apparently getting another year for free.
