Anker’s latest eufy video doorbell is taking a panoramic approach to home security. The new Video Doorbell S4 has a 180-degree view in both directions, AI tracking and VR viewing, while keeping recordings subscription-free.
The S4 is part of eufy’s new Edge 5.0 Yard Protection System and costs $299.99, including the eufy Chime 2. It’s available to pre-order now, with shipping expected by the end of October 2026. Anker first showed the doorbell at CES in January, when it was priced at $279.99.
Its 3K camera records at 3072 x 3072 with a 9MP square frame, HDR and up to 24fps. The 180-degree horizontal and vertical field of view is designed to cover everything from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, while 8x zoom and dual spotlights add some flexibility after dark.
The interesting part is how eufy uses all that extra footage. Its OmniTrack AI can lock onto a person and automatically crop the panoramic image to keep them centred. Radar and two PIR sensors work together for detection, while custom zones can be drawn within a 120-degree area up to 8 metres away. The S4 can identify people, motion, packages and faces, and a warm welcome light comes on when someone approaches.
Then there’s the VR mode. When someone rings, the alert appears like an incoming video call. Answering it opens the camera feed in full-screen VR, letting you move your phone or headset around to look in different directions while using two-way audio.
The S4 is wired-only, using 16–24V AC doorbell wiring. It has a built-in 2,600mAh battery for keeping the doorbell running during power cuts, rather than for everyday wireless use.
Clips are stored on 4GB of internal storage without a monthly fee. Add the HomeBase S380, and eufy says you get continuous 24/7 recording plus AI recognition for people, vehicles, pets and packages.
It also works with Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home, although Apple Home requires the HomeBase. The VR and OmniTrack features remain exclusive to the eufy app.
