The standard Xiaomi 18 could be getting a seriously capable camera setup, with a new leak pointing to a 200MP Leica camera, a large battery and a compact 6.4-inch display.
Xiaomi has already unveiled two Pro models in the Xiaomi 18 series, but the regular Xiaomi 18 was notably absent. The company has hinted that the standard flagship is still coming, and a new leak from tipster The Panda Is Bald has now revealed what could be some of its key specifications.
According to the leak, the Xiaomi 18 will feature a 6.4-inch flat OLED display using an M11 panel. That would make it roughly as compact as the Pro model, while keeping the screen flat rather than curved.
The biggest upgrade could be around the back. The standard model is reportedly getting a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, alongside a 200MP telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide. The telephoto is said to offer 3x optical zoom, just slightly below the 3.2x optical zoom found on the Pro.
The camera setup is also said to carry Leica branding, although the leak doesn’t provide further details about the specific Leica features or tuning.
Powering everything will reportedly be the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, rather than the Extreme version. The phone could also pack a surprisingly large 7,200mAh battery, with support for 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging. That would actually give the standard Xiaomi 18 an advantage over the Pro model in battery capacity, according to the report.
There are a few things the regular model is expected to miss. Like its predecessor, it reportedly won’t get the Pro’s secondary display on the rear, and it should also be priced below the Pro models.
As for when we might see it, the leak points to a December 2026 launch in China, which lines up with previous reports. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed these specifications yet, so the camera, battery and display details should still be treated as leaks for now.
