Samsung could be preparing one of its biggest software changes in years, with a new report suggesting that One UI 10 will introduce a completely different approach to how Galaxy users interact with their devices.
According to a source close to Nokia Power User, Samsung is planning more than just a visual refresh, with the company reportedly looking to overhaul how apps, AI features and connected devices work together.
The claims have also received some support from well-known Samsung tipster Ice Universe, although Samsung has yet to confirm any of the changes.
One of the biggest proposed changes is a shift towards what the report calls Contextual Flow, which could make switching between apps less necessary.
Instead of opening several apps to complete a task, One UI 10 would bring together relevant information from calendars, messages and location services into a single view. It sounds like a more advanced version of Samsung’s existing Now Nudge feature, designed to surface useful information without requiring users to go looking for it.
Samsung is also reportedly working on making the interface easier to navigate by cutting down on unnecessary taps, hidden menus and complicated steps. Alongside this, the company wants to improve how Galaxy smartphones, tablets and wearables communicate, allowing users to move between devices with fewer interruptions.
AI could play a bigger role too, although some advanced features may come at a cost. The report suggests Samsung is considering a two-tier approach, keeping everyday AI tools free while potentially charging for more demanding processing features and third-party integrations.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it could mark a significant change in how Samsung delivers its AI services.
As for when One UI 10 might arrive, the scale of the reported overhaul could push its debut beyond the Galaxy Z Fold 9 and Z Flip9. Instead, the report points towards the Galaxy S29 series, which would coincide with the tenth anniversary of One UI. Early developer previews are also expected ahead of the full release.
These plans remain unconfirmed, but if Samsung follows through, One UI 10 could be a much bigger update than the incremental changes Galaxy users have become accustomed to.me
