Nothing sub-brand CMF leaps into wireless speaker category with Speaker S and M

Nothing’s budget-focused CMF brand has expanded into portable audio with its first wireless speakers, the CMF Speaker S and Speaker M.

The two speakers are available now, with the smaller Speaker S priced at $59 and the more powerful Speaker M costing $109. Both feature IP68 water and dust resistance, as well as the ability that for users to pair multiple speakers for a bigger sound.

Given its name, the Speaker S is the more portable of the two with its compact upright design and a built-in attachment point for clipping it onto a bag or strap. It packs a 45mm full-range driver and dual passive radiators, delivering up to 10W of output for sound.

Meanwhile, the Speaker M steps things up with a 35W setup, combining a 25W woofer and 10W tweeter for deeper bass and clearer vocals. It also comes with an integrated handle, making it easier to move between rooms or take outdoors.

Both speakers feature Adaptive Tuning, which automatically adjusts sound and EQ during playback. There’s also an Ultra Bass mode, Wide Soundstage processing and four EQ presets available through the Nothing X app.

Stereo Mode allows two identical speakers to work as a left-and-right pair, while the Auracast-based Party Mode can synchronise audio across compatible speakers, including supported models from other brands.

Battery life is rated at up to 18 hours at 50% volume with Ultra Bass enabled, while a 10-minute charge provides up to an hour of playback. USB-C audio is also supported for low-latency wired listening.

With CMF’s design-led approach to design, both the Speaker S and Speaker M loo to draw admiring glances. Both speakers come in White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise, with interchangeable front panels and control knobs. CMF also supports 3D-printable custom designs for users wanting a more personal look.
