Google’s June Pixel update packs dozens of fixes

Google has started rolling out its June 2026 Pixel update. This brings Android 17 and a long list of bug fixes and system improvements to supported Pixel devices.

The update is now available for a wide range of devices. These include the Pixel 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 families, along with the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold. Google says all supported Pixel devices running Android 16 will be upgraded to Android 17 as part of this rollout.

The rollout is happening in phases, so not all users will see it immediately. Google notes the update will continue expanding over the next week. Alongside the new Android version, this month’s patch focuses heavily on stability. There are fixes spread across nearly every part of the system.

On the app side, Google has addressed issues that could cause background processes to crash unexpectedly. In addition, a bug where Backup settings appeared in search results but wouldn’t open in certain cases has been fixed.

Audio performance also gets attention, with a fix for Bluetooth-related instability that could cause delays and performance drops during playback. While, battery and charging improvements include fixes for slow wireless charging between 75% and 80%. They also include fixes for issues where wired and wireless charging drivers could fail during startup.

Camera reliability has been improved too, with fixes for crashes during recording, zoom-related freezing, and occasional system-level camera service failures.

Elsewhere, the update addresses a range of display and UI bugs, including screen flickering and graphical glitches on some devices. It also fixes crashes when connecting to external displays. Face Unlock stability has also been improved. As a result, issues that could cause the system to hang in certain conditions have been resolved.

Under the framework and system layer, Google has fixed memory leaks, rotation-related crashes, keyboard glitches after unlocking, and problems with location services restarting unexpectedly. Additionally, there are also improvements aimed at overall battery life and performance.

Connectivity hasn’t been ignored either. The update fixes GPS accuracy issues during calls. It also improves mobile network stability and resolves problems affecting SIM management and carrier settings.

Finally, the User Interface sees a long list of fixes targeting the Pixel Launcher and system navigation. These include crashes tied to scrolling screenshots, AI icons, notification interactions, and external display use. Google has also addressed bugs where quick settings, media controls, or the taskbar could disappear or become unresponsive.

While there are no flashy new features this time around, the scale of fixes suggests a heavy focus on cleaning up system stability ahead of future Pixel releases.
