Google’s entire Pixel 11 lineup may have just had its pricing revealed ahead of launch – and it’s not good news.
A new report from France claims Google will unveil the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold on 11 August, with the phones expected to go on sale on 20 August.
Now, while we already know that’s slightly inaccurate – Google has confirmed the Pixel event is due to take place on 12 August, not 11 August – the report goes into more detail about storage and pricing options.
The biggest change is that every model is reportedly starting with 256GB of storage for the first time. This replaces the 128GB base option on last year’s Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. While the 256GB models are said to cost the same as last year’s options, the lack of a 128GB model means entry-level prices are still set to rise.
The same can’t be said for Google’s top-end devices. According to the leak, both the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold will see price increases across all storage configurations.
If the report is accurate, pricing will start at £879 for the 256GB Pixel 11. It then rises to £1,079 for the Pixel 11 Pro. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is tipped to start at £1,279. Meanwhile, the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold could begin at £1,799 for 256GB, climbing to £2,149 for the 1TB model.
Google also appears to be refreshing the colour options. The standard Pixel 11 is expected in Light Sterling, Midnight Haze, Fuchsia and Moss. The Pro and Pro XL models are tipped to arrive in Light Fog, Midnight Haze, Dune and Pine. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold may be more limited, with only Midnight Haze and Pine expected at launch. The report also claims that every 1TB model will only be available in Midnight Haze.
Nothing has been confirmed by Google yet, so these prices should be taken with the usual pinch of salt. Still, the leak paints a fairly clear picture of the company’s strategy amidst the ongoing storage and RAM price hikes.
