Dyson has launched three new HushJet fan-purifiers, bringing its distinctive star-shaped nozzle to larger appliances.
The new design is a major departure from Dyson’s familiar loop fans, but the company says the unusual shape is designed to deliver powerful airflow while keeping noise down. It also just so happens to look like the giant sandworm from the Dune series…
Unique look aside, the HushJet range includes the HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde, HushJet Hot Cool Pure+, and the larger HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde. Dyson showed the new models in action at its IFA 2026 event in Berlin, and while the styling may take some getting used to, the airflow is seriously impressive.
The star-shaped nozzle takes inspiration from aviation engineering and is designed to reduce turbulence in the airflow. Dyson says this allows the fans to produce a powerful jet of air without making excessive noise.
The HushJet range also does more than move air. The models double as air purifiers, while the HushJet Hot Cool Pure+ can also act as a heater during colder months.
At the top of the range is the HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde, designed for larger spaces such as offices and capable of capturing pollutants including formaldehyde. Its size is comparable to Dyson’s already substantial Purifier Big+Quiet, so this is not a fan you’ll easily hide in a corner.
The medium-sized HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde costs $599 / £549.99 / AU$999, while the HushJet Hot Cool Pure+ costs $599 / £549.99, with Australian pricing still to be confirmed. The larger Big+Quiet model costs $1,099 / £899.99, with Australian pricing also to be confirmed.
US availability starts in fall 2026, while UK launches begin in October. The heater model follows in December.
The design may be divisive, but the HushJet range offers more than its unusual, sandworm-inspired appearance, with its performance adding another dimension to Dyson’s latest fans.
