Apple’s iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the United States, and that price alone makes it the most expensive iPhone the company has ever released.
That starting price sits $700 above the iPhone 18 Pro Max and more than double the $799 Apple charges for the standard iPhone 17, the lineup’s cheapest phone, a $1,200 gap between Apple’s least and most expensive iPhones this year.
The iPhone Air sits in between at $999, while the iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, and that leaves a gap of exactly $800 between Apple’s cheapest and most expensive current iPhones.
UK pricing follows the same numbers, with the iPhone 17 at £799, the iPhone Air at £999, and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max at £1,199 and £1,299 respectively.
Apple has not yet confirmed a UK price for the iPhone Duo, though the identical-numeral pattern across the rest of the range suggests a starting figure close to £1,999 when pre-orders open on 16 October.
How the Duo compares with rival foldables
Against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, the iPhone Duo costs $100 more in the United States, where the Fold 8 starts at $1,899, and £300 more in the UK, where Samsung charges £1,699.
Meanwhile, Google’s Pixel 11 Pro Fold matches that same $1,899 price in the United States and sells for £1,799 in the UK, both notably cheaper than Apple’s new foldable in either currency.
Not every rival undercuts Apple on price, since Honor’s Magic V6 carries a UK RRP of £1,999.99, close to where the Duo is expected to land, though Honor does not sell the phone through official channels in the United States.
That comparison across four rival foldables leaves the Duo as the single most expensive option in the United States, in a category where Samsung and Google already compete closely on price.
The iPhone Duo itself spans 256GB to 2TB of storage, with pre-orders opening on 16 October and general availability following in stores from 23 October in the United States and United Kingdom.
Apple has given no timeline for confirming UK pricing on the iPhone Duo beyond the 16 October pre-order date already set for the rest of the world, so British buyers must wait for an official figure.
