A new Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 could be on the way, alongside a full remake of one of the series’ most iconic games.
According to leaker Speshal Nick, Nintendo is preparing a limited-edition version of its next-gen console to launch with a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
While nothing has been officially confirmed, the timing suggests Nintendo could be lining up a major holiday release.
Details are still thin, but the remake itself is said to be more than a simple visual upgrade. The leak points to a big-budget, ground-up rework, rather than a light remaster. If accurate, that would mark a significant return for a game widely regarded as one of the most influential titles ever made.
Originally released in 1998, Ocarina of Time helped define 3D adventure design, from its dungeon structure to its cinematic storytelling. It’s also one of Nintendo’s most requested remakes, making it an obvious candidate for a headline release on new hardware.
